About the Course

The MCA Course is approved by AICTE, Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to University Of Mysore.
The MCA course is a six semester full time course.  The MCA syllabus has been revised to match the current needs of software industries.

Admission Criteria for MCA
A Candidate who possesses one of the following qualifications is eligible for submitting the application for admission to MCA.
Any graduate with an overall aggregate of 50% (relaxed by 5% for SC and ST candidates) covering the entire course subject to the following conditions.

  • He /she should have studied Computer Science/Computer Application/Computer Practice as an optional/elective/compulsory course during gradution.OR
  • He/She should have  studied Mathematics/Statistics during gradution.
  • He/she should have studied Mathematics in PUC or +2

About MCA Department
The MCA Department came into existence in 1999. The department emphasis is on student centric activities. The department of MCA has conducted many workshops/seminars for the benefit of the students. Last year the Department of MCA had conducted a 2 day State-Level Workshop on Software Testing and Test Automation, An succesfull IT-Fest Innovision - 09 and  paper presentation ETCSIT - 09. A dynamic team of dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff is serving the department with atmost dedication and sincerity. Since the inception of the MCA course the department has maintained cent percent results. Our students have been successfully placed in a number of MNCs like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, SAP labs, Mind Tree, Accenture, Cognizant Technologies etc. The Department encourages the students to take part in workshops, seminars and IT-fests.

The department also offers courses in B.Sc (IT) and M.Sc (IT) in distance education mode by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU).
